Falls Prevention
Many public health departments will give seminars on how to prevent falls in and around the home. Seniors also need to know the risk factors associated with falling.

Seniors Safe Medication Use
Deals with problems that can occur in the day-to-day use of medications and how seniors can protect themselves against the dangers of medication misuse. The presentation covers many areas concerning medication and aging. This program is facilitated by the Ontario Pharmacists' Association.

Poison Prevention
The Ontario Poison Centre works with community organizations to create a seminar tailored to the individual group learning needs. Topics include both poison prevention and medication safety.

Ontario Seniors' Secretariat
The Falls Prevention Seminar is a one-hour program designed to inform seniors on how to prevent falls and maintain their independence. Available in English and French, seniors will be given practical information and the tools to help prevent falls and the serious injuries they can cause. The seminar will also look at health issues that put seniors at risk of falling in their home and community.
